Indian Bracelet
This beautiful Antique sterling silver bracelet is from the North of India , a place called Rajesthan, it was worn by the indigenous tribal women, and were made from the 1800's - 1900's. The silver smithing skills and traditions have since been lost , so there will never be more of these produced. It became fashionable to melt down all the antique family heirlooms and take the money for the melted silver to buy gold jewellery instead. Unfortunately all this incredible old heritage silver has been lost. This design had a very clever closure, which snaps together easily and safely. Ive owned this treasure for the last 15 years and will be sorry to let it go. I get compliments every time I wear it out and about !
